However, sadly to my broken heart- The women's expo ensured me success- which was a fee of $850 just to rent the space. Well how's NEGATIVE $600 for ya... Yes thats right- I didn't even come close to paying for this. If I had a quarter for every time someone said the word "cute" I wouldn't have my life of a chopping block. Now, from now on I'll be bleeding from my eyes just to try and make up that sum- and then try to make rent for this month... It could range from $35-$450. We have to work to pay for that fee before we have any success. The LAST thing I want to talk about is $ - Sugar Clay Cafe is about making everyone happy! But sometimes, we have to pay for rent and food and its important to take care.<br /><br /></span><span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 102);"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Senior Centers/Venues in general</span><br />At Belmont Twin Pines Spring Craft show it was a nice place with friendly people and crafters that had great stuff! <span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"></span>Sadly, as we find that shows in this particular age group was not a success BUT there is ONE golden gem in this story. A young lady tracked me down from the Hillsdale Holiday Fair, just to buy a present for her friend! That means ALOT!!!! Thats AMAZING! Her determination and thoughtfulness is just incredible! Go with your First Instinct!</span><br />The room was smallish.. hazy... and dim. As you entered the building, the cold from the wind followed as if to be the very soul of the structure. We recently went to Anime Overdose featureing artist Cheryl Gurat and... IT WAS FANTASTIC! Beating Lynbrook's record, but over 2 days!<br />Whats this about Crepes? Well I mentioned candied applles, which we will get to, but recently Japanese style dessert crepes are the new inspiration! 2 days before the AOD event, as with most of my work, I suddenly just started making these crepes. Of corse as always I just couldn't stop making them! They turned out wonderful!<br />I also have a new upcoming photographer EB. I am hoping to post a picture of the crepes and out whimsicle table!<br />Our display is changing and getting better and better! My new goal is to raise $450 to go to the huge Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco. Please support us!<br />We ARE looking for booth workers during Saturday's Fanimecon experience! HAPPY NEW YEAR!<span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 102);">Wow! Hometown Holidays is and event I have never seen before! I certainly have been missing out! I definately recommend anyone in or out of town to come check out this HUGE holiday celebration! It was alot fun and the second most successful so far for SCC. <br />We visited Hillsdale High School's Holiday fair. As their first year they did a good job!<br />The next place we are visiting is Anime On Display. This is a Japanese Animation convention on a small scale, and since the whipped cream is actually a Japanese Harajuku or "cute punk" style, we should fit in quite well! Japanese erasers in many small shapes are also very popular right now, and we get a lot of reference to them ^_^<br />Temporarly we are still selling fleece sets at our table for a LOW price of $6.
